Silver Dancers 2.0
Smukfest 2026 (Denmark)
Created by Eske Touborg, the inflatable Silver Dancers are playful, oversized mirror-like sculptures that interact with the people, architecture and atmosphere surrounding them. Their reflective surfaces capture fragments of the festival environment, constantly changing with the movement of the crowd, the shifting light and the activity around them.
With their playful and expressive forms, the three new figures mirror the beauty, tranquility and festive energy of their surroundings. Rather than simply occupying the space, the Silver Dancers become part of it reflecting and transforming whatever happens around them.
As the festival unfolds, the Silver Dancers are continuously altered by their surroundings. The sculptures become different from one moment to the next, shaped by light, movement and human presence playful mirrors of the collective experience of being at a festival.
